Battles is a "math rock" band (comprised of a former 'Helmet' man and a mess of other mad musicians) Hailing from NYC and with a knee spastic sound - its hot electronic fun that makes me almost as giddy as Animal Collective - almost.
They'll be hoping in and out of the country on their tour - with stops in DC, Philly and Chicago and they just graced the stages of Coachella.
Definitely worth checking out - here's their music video for "atlas" off the "Mirrored" album
