Sell Outs.

Is Sell Out the way to go? When I think of Vampire Weekend now I cringe -- and then i regret said cringe. I feel bad for hating their celebrity, but at the same time I feel like a group that is so talented shouldn't have to sell-out. Is that really the end all be all of "making it" - that you are an MTV favorite? That you're heard against the backdrop of the "Hills" or some show like that... I'm not sure what to think of this situation. All i know is that hearing these good bands on shit stations and terrible shows makes me respect them less. I know that I've not listened to Vampire weekend once since I heard them at my store. It's not some statement I'm trying to make...it's just the way it is. I don't like what their doing. I know maybe it's what they have to do, but that's what i hate about this industry.
